Shazam is an upcoming American Action film directed by David F. Sandberg and written by Henry Gayden. "Shazam" According to Sandberg, the original concept for the cameo followed the same basic idea that Superman met Freddie during lunchtime. The key difference is that in his original vision, the DC Extended Universe star, Henry Cavill, would have repeated his Superman role and spoken some dialogue words. During a question and answer session on Instagram, Sandberg talked about his original plan for the brief crossover. "He sat at the table. They had a brief talk. There was a joke about (a kind of) school meal and then he ended up with Freddy just leaning toward him, and he said: 'I have so many questions' and then he cut himself.
As much as the director would have liked Cavill to appear on Shazam! Henry Cavill had agenda problems to be able to film for Netflix, remember that Cavill last played the last son of Krypton in the Justice League of 2017 and since then he has moved to other projects that do not belong to DCEU, especially the next Netflix series based on The Witcher. Meanwhile, it was Ryan Handley, Zachary Levi's double, who introduced himself to play Superman in Shazam.
Principal photography commenced on July 15, 2018 in Washington, United States and concluded on January 6, 2019. The film is set for release on April 5, 2019.
